ACBF HOLDS FIFTH ANNUAL MEETING OF TAP-NETs,

On April 1-3, 2008 ACBF held
the Fifth Annual Meeting of the Technical Advisory
Panels and Networks (TAP-NETs) in Gaborone, Botswana,

On November 16, 2007, in Libreville, Gabon, the

ACBF Provides a Grant of US$ 5 million
to the African Union Commission
On September 10, 2007, the African Capacity Building
Foundation (ACBF) and the African Union Commission
(AUC) concluded a grant agreement of US$ 5 million
at the African Union (AU) Headquarters in Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia. The grant, to be disbursed over a four-year
period, will finance a program to build the human
and institutional capacity of the AU Commission (AU-CAP).

ACBF signed a 1.5 million Grant Agreement in Abuja,

of West African States (ECOWAS). ECOWAS is a regional

Building Forum in Maputo, Mozambique, 1-3 August

Towards Development Results for Africa
The Second Pan African
Capacity Building Forum (Maputo Forum) was held on
1-3 August 2007 in Maputo, Mozambique. Organized
by the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF),
Africa's premier capacity building institution, the
Forum was hosted by the Government of Mozambique,
the main co-sponsor. Other co-sponsors consisted
of the African Union Commission, the African Development
Bank, the African Economic Research Consortium, Canadian
International Development Agency, Chr. Michelsen
Institute, Commonwealth Secretariat, Economic Commission
for Africa, European Centre for Development Policy
Management, Institute of Development Studies, International
Lawyers and Economists Against Poverty, Nordic Africa
Institute, the New Partnership for Africa's Development,
UNAIDS, and the United Nations Development Programme.

On July 27th, 2007, the African Capacity Building
