The meeting will be held during the Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB).
REGISTRATION AND ON-SITE IDENTIFICATION BADGE
Online registration
All Governors and Delegates are kindly requested to register on the AfDB Annual Meeting website using the following link to get their accreditation to access the meeting venue: https://am.afdb.org/en/2023-annual-meetings/registration . Validation of registration may take up to 10 working days. Therefore, you are kindly encouraged to register as soon as possible. Please select “Other participants” to register if you are not a Governor of the AfDB.
Access pass
A security pass will be issued to all registered and confirmed participants to access the Venue. On-site badging will open on 19 May 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the registration area located in the Accreditation Tent located next to the Sharm El Sheikh International Congress Centre (SSHCC). Bring along your confirmation letter which will be used to verify your registration and issue your access badge.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS INTO EGYPT FOR IN-PERSON PARTICIPANT
Visa and Immigration formalities
A valid passport and Visa are required to enter Egypt. Participants that require a Visa to enter Egypt are responsible for arranging their own Visa from the Diplomatic Mission of Egypt in country of residence using the invitation letter/confirmation letter provided. Health and COVID-19 Requirements
- Travellers are no longer required to undertake PCR COVID-19 testing or be vaccinated before traveling to the Arab Republic of Egypt. However, all participants are encouraged to be fully vaccinated to attend the Annual Meetings of the AfDB Group.

ACCOMMODATION

INTERPRETATION
Simultaneous interpretation in English/ French will be provided for the meeting.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Egypt observes Eastern European Time (EET) or GMT+2.
- The weather in May is hot. The maximum daily temperature is between 35oC and average minimum temperature is 24 oC.
- The official currency is the Egyptian pound. The current exchange rate is 1 Egyptian Pound = USD 0,032 (as at 13 April 2023).International credit cards are generally accepted by most hotels, shopping centers and restaurant in Egypt.
- The country code for Egypt is +20. The major mobile service providers: Orange, Vodafone, Etisalat, and We. Sim cards are available for purchase from vendors at the airport for international travelers.
- The standard voltage in Egypt is 220 volts AC, 50Hz. All electrical equipment that normally use a different voltage must either have dual voltage compatibility (most modern razors and other small travel tools are equipped with such) or be used with a transformer.
