Shehu Abubakar Misau

Dr. Misau currently serves as the substantive Administrator of the Public Service Institute of Nigeria. Before his appointment, Dr. Misau served as the Acting Administrator of the Institute since 2009. He is responsible for training Directorate cadre officers and Political Appointees.

Between 2006 to 2009, he was Director of Revenue at the Budget Office of the Federation, Federal Ministry of Finance. He has worked as a Director of Planning Research and Statistics until 2006 at the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control, 1981 and 1991, Dr. Misau worked at the Fed. Ministry of Employment, Labour and Productivity. Dr. Misau also worked at the Afribank Nigeria in various positions and has also been a lecturer at the University of Maiduguri and the Government College Birnin Kudu.

Other than the ACBF Executive Board, Dr. Misau is a Board member for the Directors Federal Inland Revenue service in Nigeria, Board of Directors of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission and Board of Directors of the Nigerian Customs service. He is also the Chairman of the Committee that prepared the current Modules for training of Federal Civil Servants.

He obtained a PhD in Public Sector Economies in 1989 from Leicester University (UK), an M.Sc Economics with a specialization in Public Finance and a B.Sc in Economics in 1981 from the University of Maiduguri (Nigeria).
