The overall objective of DPC was to develop and disseminate alternative policy options on the Nigerian economy through rigorous research, policy analysis and dissemination towards the capacity building of the public and private sector and civil society
The specific objectives of the project were:
- To consolidate the institutional and human capacity gains of DPC recorded during the implementation of DPC Phase I;
- To provide the government, the private sector and civil society with research based policy options; and
- To strengthen the capacity of community-based and women’s groups for effective participation in poverty reduction and development processes at local and national levels.
